Midwinter Key

The magic of Midwinter, when the air is cool and crisp, and the land is still and asleep. Spring is slowly making it's way toward the surface from it's winter slumber, but these moments in the heart of the darkness hold magic too.

Sunlight shines through small frozen dew drops on the tips of pine branches, creating a dazzling crystal shimmer effect throughout the forest during the first golden moments of sunrise. In the night of winter, the stillness and soft reflective nature of blankets of snow offer us a moment to really turn inward.

Winter is the time of dreaming and introspection. A time heralding stillness, slowness and a time of rest for the rebirth of Spring to come.

This collection really focuses on the subtle magic winter holds within its grasp, featuring Cedar branches which hold profound symbolism for me this time of year.

Cedar is a protective and grounding energy that softly surrounds us in a shroud of protection. The raw texture that comes through the copper on these branches truly captures those beautiful small details of the forest in winter.

The Midwinter Key features a real antique skeleton key which has been adorned with a quartz crystal point tip and a small rainbow moonstone.

The key also has a real cedar branch growing from it, that has been encased in copper.
